Custom Laser Cutting & Engraving
An 80 W CO2 laser workshop in Acton Vale, at the crossroads of Montérégie, Estrie and Centre-du-Québec. We cut acrylic up to 25 mm and wood up to 20 mm, and engrave glass, leather and stainless steel — from a single piece to a run of 500.
Our specialty is anything that isn't sheet metal: acrylic, wood, leather, felt, glass, slate, textile. No minimum quantity and no tooling costs.
Less than 35 minutes from Drummondville, Saint-Hyacinthe and Granby, and about an hour from Sherbrooke. Pickup by appointment, or shipping anywhere in Quebec.
What We Make
Six categories of projects that come through the shop most often. We work with acrylic, wood, leather, felt, glass and slate — not sheet metal cutting, which requires an entirely different process. If your project isn't listed, send us the file: the answer comes fast.

What We Won't Cut, and Why
PVC, vinyl, PVC-based faux leather, polycarbonate (Lexan), ABS, Teflon and carbon fiber don't go through our laser. When vaporized, several of these materials release chlorine or cyanide gas — dangerous for the operator and permanently corrosive to the equipment.
A shop that agrees to laser-cut PVC doesn't know its trade. If your project called for PVC, we'll suggest an equivalent substitute in acrylic or polypropylene.
Why Work With Us
An 80 W CO2 laser with LiDAR autofocus, dual 16 MP camera, and automatic positioning. In practice: fewer redos, identical parts across a batch, and shorter turnaround.
Large Format
A 914 × 457 mm work area accepts full panels without sectioning them, and lets us nest dozens of small parts per pass. Most shops in the region work with half that surface.
Bulky Objects
The motorized bed clears 220 mm of height. We engrave directly onto boxes, containers and already-assembled objects without taking them apart.
Batch Production
The conveyor and batch processing keep the unit price stable on large quantities. Tiered pricing starting at 50 pieces.
Proof Before Production
No piece is cut before you've approved a to-scale digital proof. What appears on the proof is what you receive.
Design Included When Needed
No vector file? We'll redraw it from a logo, sketch, or photo. The cost appears on your quote before we start.
One Supplier
Laser cutting and backlit LED signs under the same roof. For a full signage project, that means not coordinating two shops.

Where We Serve
Acton Vale sits on Route 116, at the junction of Montérégie, Estrie and Centre-du-Québec. It's a rare position: four mid-sized cities are within an hour of the workshop.
Pickup by appointment and in-person consultation for the whole region. Everywhere else in Quebec and Canada, we ship.
What We Get Asked Most
What's the production turnaround?
Plan for 2 to 7 business days for most projects, depending on complexity and quantity, starting from proof approval. Large runs and multi-material projects take longer — the exact timeline appears on your quote. Rush service is available depending on shop load.
Is there a minimum quantity?
No. We produce single pieces as well as runs of 500. Setup costs are the same either way, so the unit price drops quickly with quantity.
Can I supply my own material?
Yes, and pricing is reduced accordingly. Two conditions: the material has to be compatible with a CO2 laser (see the table above), and it has to fit within 914 × 457 mm. Bring a few extra pieces for calibration tests.
Do you cut metal?
No. A CO2 laser doesn't cut metal. Our infrared module does permanently engrave and mark stainless steel, anodized aluminum, brass, and coated metals. For metal cutting, we can refer you to a waterjet or plasma cutting shop in the region.
Why do you refuse PVC?
PVC releases chlorine gas when vaporized by a laser. It's toxic for the operator and irreversibly corrodes the inside of the machine. No serious shop accepts laser-cutting PVC. We'll suggest acrylic or polypropylene instead.
Do you design the file if I don't have one?
Yes. Send a logo, a hand-drawn sketch, or a photo, and we'll redraw it as a print-ready vector file. This is billed hourly and the amount appears clearly on your quote before we start.
Do I need to travel to Acton Vale?
No. The large majority of projects are handled by email: you send the file, we send back the proof, and the order ships out or goes by courier. Pickup by appointment remains available if you prefer, and we regularly serve clients from Saint-Hyacinthe, Granby, Drummondville and Sherbrooke.
Do you also make light-up signs?
Yes — it's actually our specialty. TOJ Designs makes custom backlit LED signs from your logo or photos. Laser cutting and LED signs often combine into a single project.
