Refund policy
Every TOJ Designs sign is custom-made to order from your logo or design. Because each piece is produced specifically for you, we handle returns a little differently than an off-the-shelf store — but we always stand behind our work.
Damaged, defective, or incorrect items If your sign arrives damaged, has a manufacturing defect, or doesn't match the design we confirmed with you, we'll make it right with a free replacement or a full refund. Just email us at info@tojdesigns.com within 14 days of delivery with:
- Your order number
- A photo or short video showing the issue
We review every claim quickly and cover all costs (including return shipping, if we need the item back) for problems that are our fault.
Custom & personalized items Because signs are made to your specifications, we're unable to accept returns or offer refunds for buyer's remorse, change of mind, ordering the wrong size/shape, or supplying a low-quality logo file once production has begun. Please double-check your shape and logo before ordering — and if you're unsure, contact us first and we'll help. (This does not affect your legal-warranty rights below.)
Order changes & cancellations Need to change or cancel? Email us within 24 hours of ordering and before production starts, and we'll accommodate you wherever possible. Once a sign is in production, it can no longer be changed or cancelled.
Your rights under Québec's Consumer Protection Act If you live in Québec, the Consumer Protection Act gives you rights that apply in addition to this policy and that cannot be waived:
- Legal warranty (garantie légale). Your sign must be of good quality, safe, and durable in normal use for a reasonable time. If it isn't, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund — this protection exists automatically, on top of anything stated here.
- Distance-contract cancellation. You may cancel your online order and receive a full refund if we fail to disclose the legally required information, if we don't send you a copy of your contract within 15 days, or if we don't deliver your order as agreed. Depending on the situation, the cancellation period is 7, 15, or 30 days as set out in the Act. We send your order confirmation (which serves as your contract) by email immediately after purchase.
- Refund on cancellation. When you validly cancel under the Act, we refund all amounts paid within 15 days of the cancellation. If we don't, you may be able to request a chargeback through your credit-card issuer.
Approval before production A member of our team reviews every order to make sure your sign matches the examples shown on the product page. If something about your logo won't reproduce well, we'll reach out before we build it.
Refund processing Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method within 5–10 business days (and always within the 15-day period required by Québec law where it applies). Your bank may take a few extra days to post it.
